IS IT SAFE FOR YOUTH TO BE DOING STRENGTH AND RESISTANCE TRAINING?2018-04-25T02:47:10+00:00

Absolutely!  Our founders are parents too and consulted with leading medical experts across LA to confirm the exercises in the WO·LA Way are safe and effective for youth.  Click here for the American Academy of Pediatrics policy statement on the topic 

Please be sure to consult with your and/or your child’s physician before engaging in a new physical fitness program.

Our classes are open to guests from 6 years old and up. Our Youth classes are separated into two groups:

Tweens – up through 12 years old

Teens – 13 years old and over

If you are under the age of 18 years a parent or legal guardian must be present with you to sign a waiver before your first class, no exceptions.  Sorry – nannies or friend’s parents are not permitted to sign the waiver for a minor unless they show proof of power of attorney.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR MY FIRST CLASS & WHAT TO EXPECT?2018-04-25T02:43:43+00:00

You will need to come in-studio to sign up for your first class.  Click here to get the process started or call us at (323) 452-7948.  We provide complimentary towels and a filtered water station, or if you prefer bottled water we have that for purchase.  Please arrive 15 minutes before your class begins to complete the paperwork and a tour of our space.

We have limited dedicated parking in the alley behind our facility (look for the Orange Door) and metered parking along 3rd Street and Edinburgh. Blackburn Street (one block south) offers free street parking during the week.  With merchant validation both Gilmore Station (north side of 3rd Street) and Farmer’s Market offer 1 hour free parking.  Please contact us at (323) 452-7948 if you need special parking accommodations.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR/BRING TO CLASS?2018-04-25T02:39:57+00:00

We recommend wearing athletic/exercise clothes and cross-training/tennis/basketball shoes. We don’t recommend running shoes given the lack of lateral support.  Bring a water bottle to fill up at our filtered water station if you’d like. We’ll take care of the rest.

RUNNING LATE TO CLASS?2018-04-25T02:39:11+00:00

Call us at (323) 452-7948 and we’ll hold your spot for 10 minutes. No one will be admitted to the class if they are more than 10 minutes late.  This is for both safety reasons as well to avoid disruption to the Instructor and community taking the class. Thank you for your understanding.

Late Cancellation: Reserved classes must be changed or canceled six (6) hours before the scheduled time.  Class will be forfeited for class packages.

All Sales Final: All classes and package purchases are non-transferable and non-refundable.

That’s not a problem. Taking the first step is the hardest. So thank you for giving us the honor of taking it with you. Every guest is on their own journey and works out at their own pace. We will go through each exercise to make sure you understand while continually checking your form.

Prior to each class our Instructors ask every guests to disclose any injuries or concerns. Our Instructors will modify exercises to accommodate the guest. Some injuries may require a doctor’s written clearance prior to participating in the workout.

For the enjoyment of our community:

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of class.  If you are not present and signed in within 5 minutes before the start of class, your space may be released to an attendee from the waitlist.

Please follow the instructed exercises and sequence unless modification is required for injuries only.

Towels are required in class.

Please put all equipment away at the end of class.
